Little Steps Forward

“Your body knows the way to healing—listen to it, move with it.”

Dance Movement Therapy

Dance/movement therapy (DMT) is defined by the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA) as the psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration of the individual, for the purpose of improving health and well-being.

In simpler words, DMT means understanding your thoughts and emotions through your body movements. As an individual’s movement is seen as a form of communication, we as facilitators, utilize this art form to help individuals or the group to find a way to express their emotions and their experiences which helps in their own internal processes.

Workshops :

I offer Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) workshops at various locations. These workshops are designed to help individuals reconnect with their bodies, release emotional stress, and enhance overall well-being through expressive movement.

Workshops Tailored for Different Spaces:

Happy Toddler Hub :

We are a support Group for Tiny-Tot Parents.

Raising a toddler is a beautiful journey, but it comes with its own set of challenges and emotions. Our Therapeutic Movement workshops and sessions are designed specifically for parents of infants and toddlers (1 month to 5 years old) to support you through these early years. The sessions aim to help you connect deeply with your child, navigate parenting concerns, and enhance your well-being.

Sessions

Our sessions are available offline & online.

They incorporate creative movement practices inspired by Dance Movement Therapy principles, offering a holistic approach to parenting support:

  • Movement and Dance: Engage in creative dancing and mindful movement to release stress and bond with your child.
  • Expressive Arts Integration: Use art and movement to explore your emotions and experiences.
  • Meditation Techniques: Simple mindfulness practices, guided imagery, and breathing exercises to promote relaxation.
